Senior Player Profile Abby Ransler #5 |
Abby
is playing in her sixth season for the Lady Tornado and serves as Co-Captain this
year. Her formidable defense has earned her a place on the All District Team 1998
and 1999, the All Region Honorable Mention Team 1998, and All Region Second Team
1999. She was selected to receive the Tornado Leadership Award as a junior and
Best Defensive Player for two years. As a senior, Abby serves as Co-Captain of the Tilghman Drill Corps and is a member of National Honor Society, PSI, Beta Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Abby’s favorite soccer memories are getting to the regionals in 1999, "can o’ whoop a--", and "kissing a frog". The daughter of Charlie and Gail Ransler, Abby plans on attending the University of Virginia. The Ransler family has supported PTHS Soccer for many seasons in following Abby’s brother, Chip, and sister, Findley, who are graduates, as well as sister, Anna Katherine, a sophomore. |
