
Kelly Maddox

Kelly
has been a member of the Blue Tornado for three years. Her quickness and determination
earned her the 1999 Most Improved Player Award. She has played soccer as a midfielder
and forward and joins other senior team members on the Academic All-Stars. Kellys
most memorable soccer moments are her scores against Lyon County and Owensboro.
Kelly was recently voted a senior class favorite
and the 2000 football homecoming queen. She has been a varsity cheerleader for
three years. Kelly is a member of the Y Club, serves as President of the Beta
Club, NHS Vice-President, Student Council Secretary, and PSI Teen Leader. She
was also selected as a 2000 Governors Scholar.
After graduation, Kelly plans to attend a four-year
college or university.
Kelly adds, "I extend a special thanks to Coach
Beck for all of his hard work and dedication to the team, and for teaching me
how to tight-roll denim shorts."
Kelly is the daughter of Bill and Cynthia Maddox.
Her youngest sister, Amanda, also plays for the Lady Tornado.
2001 note: Kelly Maddox, freshman starter for the
Millsaps Majors, scored her first collegiate goal to win the game in OT at the
Rhodes Classic.
