|
Charlotte,
playing in her sixth season for the Lady Tornado, will be remembered by fans for
her strong kicks and tenacious defense. She was voted Junior Varsity Defensive
MVP in the 8th grade, "Best Defender" as a freshman, and received the
Coachs Award as a junior. She was selected for the 1997, 1998 and 1999 All
District Team and the 1998 All Region Team.
Charlottes best memories of her soccer years
will include scoring the winning goal in overtime against Lone Oak last year and
scoring twice on corner kicks against Graves County in her sophomore year.
As an All State Alto, Charlotte sings in Concordia,
Chamber Choir, and PTHS Choir where she serves as Vice president. Other school
activities include Drill Corps, serving as Majorette this year, varsity tennis,
mock trial, Beta Club, PSI Teen Leader, NHS, and Spanish NHS.
As a 2000 Governors Scholar and Brown Book
Award winner, Charlotte plans on attending a four-year liberal arts college in
the south.
Charlottes parents, Juliette and Paul Grumley,
have been cheering for # 8 since 1989. Charlottes older brothers, Bryan
and Miller, also wore the # 8 soccer jersey for Tilghman prior to graduating.
Thanks for the commitment to Tilghman Soccer.
